Hi!  I’m Sam Duckor-Jones, a Wellington born artist & writer & the guy behind the pink curtain.

Formerly Saint Andrews Anglican Church, built 1939, consecrated 1942, deconsecrated 2018, the building was rezoned residential 2020 & reconsecrated as Gloria of Greymouth 2021 when I moved in.

Gloria is situated in Blaketown, a seaside suburb of Greymouth (pop. 8500), the largest town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Gloria of Greymouth is a Public Sculpture, a Temple of Silliness, a Centre for Playfulness, an Ode to Camp.  Gloria is a chapel, a venue, a club.  Gloria is my art project.  Gloria is my home.

Get in touch if you’d like to hold your event here, or just pop by for a visit!
